RMBS is a very successful organization due solely to the work of those who volunteer. Our Bead Bazaar continues to be a nationally respected and financially viable event that stacks up well against other shows including those that have a full-time paid staff. Our web site is now an informative and user-friendly tool that allows members and non-members easy access to information. Our newsletter and updates continue to provide professional style news and interesting articles. Our library and book table give members access to tremendous variety of hard-to-find titles to borrow or buy at a discount. We have been able to subsidize two national teachers this year so that our members could take high-end classes at budget prices. We were also able offer our members the opportunity to attend the Timeless Bead and have their entire admission reimbursed. We have been able to contribute to the Hope Bracelet Project to support their incredible work in helping the people in Ethiopia have a better life. All of this (plus lower dues) just because of volunteers. Will we be able to offer all of these benefits in the future? If we all make a pledge to volunteer at least 6 hours per year then the answer is a resounding yes. It's a cliché . . . volunteer, its worth it.
