As a member club of the Council, the Rocky Mountain Bead Society (RMBS) is required to provide volunteers to help plan and execute the annual Denver Gem and Mineral Show. RMBS members serve on the Show Committee that holds meetings throughout the year. Additional RMBS members also must serve as volunteers during the Show weekend for the all-volunteer activity to be successful. RMBS also is responsible for making 500 grab bags of beads that are sold during the Show to raise funds for a scholarship at the Colorado School of Mines. RMBS has access to a display case at the Show to highlight RMBS activities, and may staff a club booth during the Show at no cost to RMBS to promote RMBS membership and activities.
