You may view most of the actual class projects at meetings of the RMBS prior to the Bazaar and at the Registration Desk at the Bazaar.
When determining the Skill Level for your class, please use the following definitions:
- Beginner: No experience in any type of beadwork
- Advanced Beginner: Has experience in similar types of work and is ready to learn this technique
- Intermediate: Has prior experience with this type of work and is ready to learn variations
- Advanced: Has completed several projects using this technique and is ready for a challenge
- All: Open to anyone
Save your PayPal receipt and present it at the Bazaar as proof of enrollment.
Typically, for beading classes you should bring scissors, beading pad or trays, needles, thread, worklight with extension cord, and magnifiers (if needed). Please check what supplies the instructor expects you to bring for a specific class (under "Student Supplied Supplies").
Each class has a minimum number of students and, if that number is not met, the class will be cancelled. NO REFUNDS will be made for any reason other than Class Cancellation by RMBS, so please select your classes carefully.
Admission to the Bazaar is NOT included.

Woven Treasure Bracelet (or Tassel)

Technique: Finger weavingClass Description: Make a unique, attractive and sturdy bracelet (or tassel) using your favorite beads and treasures! Learn techniques of finger weaving to make the cord which forms the core of the bracelet and several methods for adding beads as you weave. Use these versatile techniques to create bracelets, necklaces, straps and tassels with many different looks -- contemporary, ethnic, elegant, funky, petite or massive. Some students will finish their project in class and we'll cover finishing techniques for those who don't.

The Third Eye Pendant

Medium: Bead Weaving
Technique: Right Angle Weave, Netting, Peyote, and Herringbone Stitches and FringingClass Description: This lovely pendant has a compelling design that draws the eye to its center. A circle of beadwork within a larger circle of beadwork encompasses a glass focal "eye" bead or Rivoli. The beadwork also appears to radiate outward from the focal bead adding movement and focus to the pendant. Embellish with Keshi Pearls and crystals, top with a triple bail and you have an elegant and interesting piece of wearable art jewelry.

Technique: Designer developed technique and Peyote stitchClass Description: Using the new permanent galvanized seed beads and a variety of sizes of Swarovski crystals, students will weave a multi colored bracelet of crystal "blossoms" that are joined together to create this beautiful bracelet. Several variations and design ideas will be shown and discussed.

Technique: ChainmailClass Description: In this hands-on workshop, we will do two different chainmail weaves, the shaggy loop and the European 4 in 1. You will leave with a set of earrings and a wrist cuff in the colors of your choice. Rex and Gena Brown create and sell their beautiful handcrafted chainmail jewelry through their new company, Poly's Pleasures. The materials fee includes a boxed kit with the tools, printed instructions, and the components. Additional supplies will also be available for optional purchase for those who wish to leave with materials to create more on their own.

The pin features an abalone centerpiece with silver accents and a silver dangling dragonfly. A great introduction into the world of bead embroidery possibilities.

Technique: Glass cutting, laminating, kiln working, grindingClass Description: Student will make either several pendants or a sectioned bracelet incorporating fused pieces joined together with various other small beads. They will be working with glass and various other materials used as inclusions including foil, wire, pixie dust, stencils, etc. If you are taking this class, you must attend both Saturday and Sunday afternoons. The initial fusing will be done on Saturday and finishing, polishing, and refining will be done on Sunday.

Technique: Off-loom seed bead weaving with Peyote, Herringbone, Chevron Chain StitchesClass Description: "Motif" is the dominant theme or central idea in an artistic or literary work. This stunning necklace has the central theme of small embellished flowers recurring across the entire surface culminating in a splendid show of glamour. The bezeled stones are deep-set with many facets impregnating each flower with fiery sparkle. The matching earrings are for pierced ears using sterling studs. The necklace is beaded using off-loom beading stitches: chevron chain, peyote, herringbone, and right angle weave.

Technique: Peyote StitchClass Description: Mastering the Curl is Jeannette's signature class! This class has continued to be a favorite class among beaders since the mid 1980's because it is fun for people with all beading skill levels. This simple variation on the Peyote Stitch is easier than it looks, and a quick project. The Curl is such a wonderful pendant when it is finished. I love teaching this class and watching as the excitement builds as the class goes on and the curl begins to take shape. You can shop for the perfect blown glass or lampwork bead to nestle in the opening at the top once you are finished with your curl. Too fun!

Technique: Right Angle Weave and Netting stitches, stringing on wire, and simple wire bending as well as sewingClass Description: Make this very cool ring with several components that work beautifully together. Start with a Right Angle Weave and crystal circle and add varying sizes of lampwork beads. The ring itself is anodized aluminum to add that extra PoP of color! This Class was inspired by Janet K. Skeen's Sky-High Ring Project in Beadwork Magazine Oct/Nov 2008 issue which was inspired by Dustin Wedekind's towering ring in the April/May 2007 issue. See how we can all inspire each other! I have blessings from both for this great project. The shape of mine is very close, but the techniques are totally different.
